10 mile canal walk - Stourbridge to Kinver, 3.5hours approx See also: Stourport bike ride

This walk also makes an easy bike ride, taking under 1.5 hours. It is well known to many local people and there are a number of ways to shorten or extend it. It's a great route any time of year. If anyone has any views on its suitability for disabled access please let us know

The route shown does not actually take in Kinver village but it would be easy to do so, adding no more than a mile or so to the total distance. Leaving the canal at the road bridge by the Vine Pub it is less than half a mile to the picturesque village centre.

Please note that the final leg of the walk (after the last photo) takes you through the Norton estate, if you need directions please click this link and print off the map to get you back to your starting point. Note that the track you will be on is the one on the bottom left hand side along the top edge of Bunkers Hill Wood. You can probably tell the photos were taken during the Winter, but it's a great walk for any time of year. Click here for text only version.
