If you measured a town by the number of clubs and societies it has then Stourbridge is a rich town indeed. It's one of the things that makes the town special, the vibrancy and enthusiasm of people for a huge range of topics. This is only a small number of them so if you are a member of a club please get in touch, even if you don't have a website, no charge.

Friends of the Black Country Living Museum - The Friends of the Museum are a voluntary organisation providing the opportunity for people to support the aims of the Museum, which are to preserve material relating to the story of the Black Country and to communicate that story to the widest possible audience. Originally set up in 1970 as a group to help establish the Museum, the Friends hold regular social meetings with talks on a wide range of subjects. Membership is open to all www.bclmfriends.org.uk

The Y Project is a new charitable organization that helps disabled and disadvantaged young people on the road to independence and employment.

The project runs from a cafe which is a social enterprise providing work experience and enterprise opportunities to these young people.  The cafe is Silver End Cafe, Brettell Lane Industrial Estate, Brettell Lane, Brierley Hill (Behind the Crown Pub)

The cafe is open all week including Saturdays and is now offering OAP meals on a Monday and Wednesday afternoon.

West midlands Disability Swimming logo
West Midlands Disability Swimming Squad - The WMDSS is a charity that enables disabled swimmers to reach their potential and helps members compete at regional, national and international level. It has also had Paralympic success, bringing gold medals back to the West midlands. Side by Side Theatre company

Sophie Hill Jones Trust

The Sophie Hill-Jones Trust was founded in 2008 to raise money in memory of Sophie, who we tragically lost after a car accident. The National Childbirth Trust
The National Childbirth Trust is the largest and best known childbirth and parenting charity in Europe. It wants all parents to have an experience of pregnancy, birth and parenthood that enriches their lives and gives them confidence in being a member. Stourbridge and Halesowen branch of the NCT gives support to new parents by providing a wide range of services, as well as a friendly network of local mums. The MARY STEVENS HOSPICE has provided specialist palliative care since 1991 as a day hospice unit, to care for 15 patients each day. We now have a ten bedded residential unit that opened in August 1999.
