My Grandfather was Benjamin Ernest Tibbetts and died at 78 years of age about 1952/3.He married Elizabeth Hall (ka Polly) He had sisters Laura and Nellie and Maud and Brother Rowland. On leaving school he was apprenticed as a Cobbler. There were lots of related Pearsons in the Stourbrige. One uncle Fred was a fireman and lived In Hill Street, Stourbridge. Surnames of interest: Rule, Drewry and Guest. My main focus at present is on James Rule. He was born in Glasgow to John Rule & Margaret Anderson. He had 2 younger brothers; John & George. He married Phoebe Anne Drewry in 1879. They had 2 sons; Philip Anderson Rule 1881 & Archibald Guest Rule 1884. Family apparently broke up. Phoebe & Archibald emigrated to USA 1887, Philip 1895. James perhaps became a homeless person. Records of living at Dudley Union Workhouse off & on late 1890\'s. 1901 is last entry. Perhaps died on the streets without I.D. and was buried in a pauper\'s grave. Info on James, John & George and families would be appreciated. Her name is Dorothy Corser and research goes back to Stourbridge (noted as a place where the corsers hailed, Upton Crescent I think). I have noticed however that there is a corser street in stourbridge. I am just wondering if this street would be named after the family.
