Update
October 2010 - I am reliably informed by Mr Barry Arnold of Yorkshire that
this building is NOT the Old Grammer School, but the Headmaster's house! He
should know as he used to live there! Apparently the old Grammar School was
in the grounds but was demolished in the 1960's as it was deemed to be unsafe.
The house was built in 1500 and completed in 1511, at the end of the drive
was a stable block. The white section of the Headmaster's House was added
in the reign of George III, between 1738 and 1820
