Mary Stevens
Park, Stourbridge

Stourbridge is incredibly lucky to have this beautiful park, thanks to the benevolence of Mr Ernest Stevens, who gave the Studley Court estate, as it was originally known, to the people of Stourbridge in 1929. He was a millionaire holloware manufacturer (pots and pans to you and me!) and donated the park in memory of his wife Mary. He also gave Stevens Park in nearby Wollescote and built the Mary Stevens Maternity Home in Oldswinford.

May Day Fun Day Banner

The 2008 May Day Fun Day - What a great day it was too! In the morning the weather was grim and it looked as if it was in for the day. But it cleared up and even though it was cloudy the rain held off for the rest of the day. The turnout was amazing, there must have been thousands there, congratulations to all involved in it's organisation.
