The parks of Stourbridge

For a small provincial town, Stourbridge is blessed with green spaces and parks. The town is on the edge of greenbelt land anyway, so together with these green spaces it gives the urban areas a pleasant, leafy feel, particularly to the West of the town centre. Much of the parkland was given to the people of Stourbridge by the great local benefactor Ernest Stevens, a very successful businessman who manufactured "Holloware", pots and pans, etc. He gave the following parks to the people of Stourbridge, Lye and Quarry Bank. Additionally, the Norton side of Stourbridge also has Swan Pool playing fields.
