Lye and Wollescote in the 1950's and 1960's

Lye and Wollescote have changed considerably over the past half a century, large tracts of Lye having been substantially redeveloped over the years. In the 1960's the area known as Waste Bank was completely redeveloped, it was a maze of little streets lined with old cottages, mostly in poor condition, some even made of mud! Again, with the benefit of hindsight it would have been great to preserve the area, it surely would have been today.
