Oldswinford - a beautiful backwater less than a mile from Stourbridge town centre

Driving through Oldswinford along the A491 to Stourbridge and you will have no idea of what Oldswinford is really like, because tucked away at the bottom of Rectory Road or Church Road you will find a really charming area around St Mary's Church. Historically Oldswinford was more important than Stourbridge itself and this explains why many genealogy searches for the area often brings up Oldswinford. St Mary's Church has a very substantial graveyard and contains a wealth of information about the genealogy of Stourbridge famiies.
