Stourbridge Area Action Plan - September 2012

This action plan has been produced by the Dudley MBC Planning Policy Section and is a substantial document running to over 70 pages. I have now read it all (phew!) and it suggests some very good ideas for improving the town and surrounding environment, ranging from cycle paths along the River Stour through to improving the town centre.

Of course it is all very well coming up with great ideas, and we can all be quick to criticise the Council, as I do sometimes, but they do appear to have recognised the things that make the town so special - architecture, surrounding countryside, attractive parks and suburbs, canal etc. and come up with ideas to improve the town. The Council are inviting all of us as Stourbridge residents to feed back our views on their proposals, please see the link below.

It will take you a while to read it but I think we all should if we truly care about our town.
