Resurfaced towpath, Wordsley

Like many stretches of canal, the towpath of the Stourbridge canal arm has been a virtual no-go area in winter because it was so muddy. Thankfully the Canal and Rivers Trust have done a wonderful job in resurfacing the towpath and it is now a lovely smooth ribbon of tarmac all the way from the Bonded Warehouse in Canal Street to the Wordsley Junction a couple of miles away. We have been in touch with the Trust, suggesting that perhaps the next project might be the stretch from Wordsley Junction down to the Stewponey junction near Kinver - a hugely popular route for walkers, runners and cyclists alike.
